Why redesign?
HBO NOW enables easy access to HBO’s exclusive video content, with a sleek and clean look of its mobile app. Yet, certain unthoughtful designs risk making its in-app experience impersonal, inconsistent and overall frustrating. Here lists a few of them:
- Lack of personalized content and recommendations
- Add to Watchlist hard to access
- Continue Watching feature not working "smart" enough
Proposal
The app is in need of a redesign that will provide users more reasons to stick with their subscriptions after the initial visit. The goal of this redesign is to reconstruct a more friendly, personalized, and continuous experience on top of the premium content HBO provides.
ADD NEW FEATURES:
- “You May Like...” recommendation feature
- “Watch Next” feature for better revisit experience
IMPROVE USER FLOW:
- Easy “add for later” process
- Easily accessible program categories
